As we approach November elections in the United States, it becomes imperative that new life be injected into the moribund peace process. Gilead Sher discusses BWF’s plan for action in an article in the Jewish Chronicle, arguing that the election season in the US should not distract Israeli leaders from taking bold steps to secure a Jewish and Democratic future for its citizens. In addition to setting the stage for a two state solution through financial incentives and the voluntary removal of settlers, Sher also emphasises the need for civil society on both sides of the border to internalize a two-state future before concrete steps have actually been taken. Such steps, conducive to peace, will also help counter and dispel the growing delegitimization campaign aimed at Israel’s existence:
